If you set your security settings to high in IE, a box popsup and says:
"An ActiveX control on this page is not safe. Your current settings prohibit
running unsafe controls on this page. As a result, this page may not display
as intended."
Of course the flash doesn't display. I guess what I'm try to say now, is why
does it say that?
Who says it's not safe? What *is* a safe ActiveX control? Flash isn't? Or is
it because of a signed certificate type deal or what?
It makes a flash site appear malicious. The player is already installed. So
the Activex control contains the player and not just allowing for auto
install.
Only if I set security settings to high. But I can't duplicate this behavior
in NS.
Any way around this? Does IE only allow the plug-in to operate as an
activeX? Can you tell I don't know what the hell I'm talking about? But
trying!
