I believe the question has to do not with sharing libraries but with whether there's any benefit to downloading part of a swf to cache. That is, if downloading doesn't complete, will part of the file be in cache so that a future download time is shorter?
If the download is not complete, part of the file will not be stored in the cache (well, it may be stored in the cache, but the browser will try to reload the entire SWF again under a new temporary name). There are advantages to preloading parts of your movie (either while using the If Frame Is Loaded action or by loading graphics while something else is going on in the foreground), but you can't expect to load part of a SWF, go away, and then come back and have the SWF continue to load where you left it.
I hope this clarifies this situation. If not, ask for help on whatever's unclear.
