As long as Macromedia maintains the SWF format, Flash 4 will be compatible

with Flash 3, 5 with 4, 6 with 5, etc... That's the beauty of a tagged

format. Just like HTML... the browser ignores tags it doesn't know about.

Unfortunately, that means Flash may become more difficult to develop for

backwards compatibility in the future, but hopefully the tools will compensate.
