Thanks for the input Wayne,
However it seems that your response is alot of "ifs" or "coulds" which still
doesnt address the problem.
In a perfect world, updates would DL automatically as soon as they were released
and every individual
would always have the latest Flash plug-in piped into their automated home
network system as soon as
they logged on to the net.
However we are still far away from a perfect world.<g>
The problem is, any revised version of anything will not become a standard. Jpg
and gif are standard because
they dont change. They arent revised. Something like HTML is standard because of
its timeline. Its just now
revised into DHTML after years of use and started out when the only people that
had access to the net were
physicists and military personel. However, so far, Flash is revised ever year,
give or take alittle. If this keeps up
it will never become a standard, which is what we're all working for. This will
keep it in that "plug-in" bracket
and will continually be difficult to sell to clients.
Also my original questions are still present.
Is there a chart or graph that has step by step instructions on how to install
Flash3 on each browser?
Is there any reference or link that will give direct facts that a developer can
pass on to a client?
Is there any reference or link that will give developers samples on how to
"sell" flash? (all the pros)
Is there any info on the future relations between NS and MM to drive this format
into continually being
intergraded into the browser?
Believe me, I'm all for Flash but the bottom line is; what is it's future and
what can it do for my company.
