I was just passing along some data, I hope you know.
I've only taken a glance at his book in the book store, and I saw that I might
as well first get everything I can out of the Flash manual *Using Flash* before
I spend money on a second resource of similar construction. The combo of *Using
Flash* and this email list does it for me.

Don't leave me unchaperoned in the Computers Section at, say, Borders Books,
with a credit card in my wallet. "There's *so* much to explore, and I wanna
know it *all*!"

Frankly I don't blame them for doing everything they can (as long as they stay
*honest*) to make the money they deserve. Do you know they came close to going
out of business not too long ago? We all could have ended up buying Aldus
AnimationMaker insteada Macromedia Flash!

We *want* the manufacturers of our favorite software to succeed in business!
It's *not* a bad thing!

You have many Flash friends available here.
Some of them are even stars, and they give rather freely of their time here. I
imagine that they are successful and wealthy enough that they can *afford* to
share their wisdom with us.
If you really want some one-on-one guidance of the in-person kind, ask around
in Manchester, NH. Hunt for referrals for a Flash mentor closer to your area.

True, I can't afford a mentor right now, and I'm doing fine with the manual and
this list.

What are some of your other modes?
Just curious.
