The project I'm working on at the moment does the same thing by using asp to
call the javascript/fs commands to move the film to the labels. The asp takes
its values from the main html navigation e.g. "200", passes it on to the
javascript which tells the flashmovie to go to the frame labelled "200". If
you want to enter stuff into the database you can do that quite independantly
of your commands to the film.

Hope that is enough to get you going. Can give you some more detail if you
need it.
