Well, flash is better at bitmap than gif wizard is at vector, ehh?
Seriously, how does it compare when you compress the bitmaps in
gifwizard (or fireworks, etc.) and import to flash using imported jpeg
data? What size then the swf?
Perenially, I'm hoping 5 includes better animation controls (bones and
better morphing), a larger scripting window w/integrated
debugger/tracer, and some sort of batch process and/or action recording
(ala photoshop), a way to embed digital video files, all way above
bitmap compression on my list;-)...
How are you checking your file sizes? I tested gif wizard last year
with a group of students in a class I was lecturing at, and we found it
consistantly over reported the byte savings (as opposed to the file
sizes reported by NT, Unix, Mac, and Netscape), wonder if they fixed
that?
