The entire movie runs at the same frame rate, including movie clips and
Loaded movies. So I don't believe it makes any difference if the actions
are on the same timeline as the animation or not. For the main timeline and
all movieclips and loaded movies, all of the actions in their current frame
must get executed before they can all go on to their next frame. Ain't that
so?

Dave and Miles,

Good point. The animation can't go on to the next frame until all actions
have been completed - this being if your animations are on the the same
timeline/movie clip as the loops. However, if you need to have animation
running at the same time you can just bury them in a different movie clip.
Then you can have whatever animations you want running when loops or other
scripts are going at the same time. Depending on how much animation is
occuring, this might have no effect on the speed of your loop or it could
go as far as slowing your loop down drastically.
