Well folks.. I have been planning this for a while... but I am starting a
new article series at Flashlite.net next week... "Branden's Brain" (Chrissy
came up with the name, and it was too funny not to use!) issue 1 should be
up at Flashlite early next week... It is a foray into exactly what you
folks have been talking about... Actionscript for the masses... I am
massaging the text this weekend, however I would apprciate any teachers out
there, including the one who initiated this thread to email me at
bhallfigleaf [dot] com so I can send them a draft of issue 1. Issue 1 covers
Flash's infrastructure, how the library, symbols, movie clips, and instances
all work with tell target, paths and variables. Issue 2 will get more in
depth into variables as well as introduce expressions, and conditional
logic... all with a healthy added dose of my slightly twisted (not stirred!)
humor. I hope you folks will like it!
