Agree - if you're using frames make sure you know how to make the engines
happy.

I like to use frames for the side (vertical) navigation. I've found that
when I try to layout the side with either tables and table backgrounds (not
liked by the older browsers) or with a background that has color in the
first 150 pixels or so, the different layout between Net and IE just drives
me crazy.
Also, once you load the contents of the navigation frame it stays loaded
the entire site. The user always sees something as the other pages are
loading.
