There has been a lot of discussion here lately about 3D and Flash. As I
understand you can export dxf from most 3D programs. However these are 3D
files, not 2D vector files, unless your particular modeler can export the 2D
variety of dxf. Most of the medium range modelers will only export the 3D
variety of dxf whereas the more expensive packages can export the 2D variety
as well.
When it comes to Raydream Studio you have an interesting option. This
program comes with a custom render engine called Think Fish. This renders
your 3D scene to look like flat animation cell type art. The output is
still bitmaps but since the shading is flat it should translate well into
vector art using the trace bitmap tool in Flash.
Now that I have speculated to everyone on the list I think I'll go try it
mayself and let you know how it works.
