I agree that the Matinee site is really overkill. Take the gunshot sounds
with every click of the mouse....sheesh. But it IS beautiful and it is one
of the most creative examples of site design I've seen in a while. Plus, we
have gotten this extremely enlightening discussion on techniques for
developing 3D effects with Flash! Who could ask for more?
Btw, I downloaded the demo of Cool 3D and was very successful exporting a
series of gif files that imported into Flash beautifully. I simply assigned
each it's own little key frame and shazam! I had an effect similar to
matinee's. (Believe me, though, it wasn't nearly as polished and slick.
