If you notice, the 3d graphics in the Matinee site are just simple

extrusions except for the 'mace' symbol. CorelDraw 8 will make these

extrusions easily and export them in the AI format. This allows you to use

vector based 3D objects. You of course have to render each view of the

object and create keyframes for each move. I created a spinning 3D letter

'G' in less than a half hour including the flash animation.


If you want to use more complex shapes than simple extrusions will allow,

create the 3d shape in your 3d rendering program, animate it, render it,

export the individual frames, import them into Flash or your favorite

vector-based drawing program, trace the frames and fill in the vector

program, then save in the appropriate flash import format....etc etc
