FLASH: Flash 4 plugins for Flash 3

Hi,

I want to know that if i created a swf file in flash 4 but export it in 

flash 3 format. Do i need flash 4 plugins in order to view the flash 3 file 

in browsers ??? Does export to flash 3 format in flash 4 reduce the file 

size. I heard that flash 4 reduce the file size a lot compare to flash 3.
