thanks for that heads-up.


however, i got a broken icon in the email.  checking on it.


i think it's a clear indication that the evolution of the group mail list

has not stopped at this point in time, and that flash will likely be

involved in future mail list versions.


i can see that there will be *some* resistance to this, but as bandwidth

increases, that issue will naturally become less important.


there is already a move on to stream a lot of your content in the

background with products such as BackWeb.  you will see widespread use of

this (especially to deliver website-independant flash ads) within the next

quarter, from the emerging free-isp, advertiser-supported access providers.

rich media content email and list mail should logically follow.



thanks also, to all of those who responded to the flash-in-your-email test.

i see there are still issues.  primarily that of having your mail program

configured to display flash content.  At any rate, email is a very good way

to distribute some kinds of flash content.


FWIW, 2 complaints and 20+ positives to the flash in group email test.
