The key to the cell phone is vectors and actionscript (mostly simple

properties). You can do many of these things, now after you read my

tutorials. But if you don't work with vectors (which are ideal for the

boxy shapes of CISCO routers) they aren't going to be as cool and smooth

as the cell phone.


I expect within two or three weeks most everyone on this list will be

able to do similar animations as the cell phone. It is not that

difficult and I will be covering all these features and more in upcoming

tutorials.


1) Axis 1 is simple Rotation Property.

2) The Alpha slide is Alpha Property

3) The Scale slide is both XScale and YScale

4) Color just changes frames with different color tint effect applied to

each version of the master Movie Clip.

5) Drag and Drop is just that.

6) Display Input is just form entry just applies the name to a text

field with the same variable name as set in the form entry box.

7) Logo selection is likely just frame selection inside a nested MC

inside the main MC though it can also be done with actionscript

8) Axis 2 rotates between 20 or so different drawn vector perpective

frames that in this case I was told were hand drawn.


The Cell Phone is a single Movie Clip.

Creating the vector projections is the main work in this and with Vectra

this may become easy as pie. You just have to choose the right series of

perpectives to display the object in best light.
