Yes.

"Can you pass variables from flash to asp and vice
versa?"
Yes. ASP side check Response and it's variants.

"can you write asp in flash?"
Don't think I get your drift but if you mean :
Can I include ASP expressions in a Flash movie the easy answer is NO. Flash
does not include a VBScript engine.
