Subject: | FLASH: Loading: Flash, best practice? |

I am about to a launch my first full flash site, and rather than just being
a 100k intro file, the whole site is probably about 500K in full.
At the present time, there is a main parent movie of c150K with child
movie's of 10-25K being brought in via mouse commands etc.
I have tried on numerous occassions to read manuals and tutorials on
loading, but have failed to come up with the best practice.
Is it better to have one main parent movie, with 20+ child movies being
brought in as required,
or
am i better off creating 1 swf, with all the movie brought in via a
preloader?
Being new to the list, i was delighted to find an "active" list with people
on who actually seem to know what they are talking about.
any help and / or suggestions on what is/are the best practices would be
greatly appreciated
