I audited classes given by Ralph Mittman and found them to be very
effective and all the students I interviewed were more than pleased, so
it is unfortunate you couldn't have attended.

Everyone learns best in different ways.
I would first try to determine what type of Flash you will be expected
to start creating and then concentrate on the features of Flash that you
will need first.

There are 2 day Flash courses that are available that can give you a
jump start if you are just beginning Flash.

Both Flash 3 books have been very helpful to beginners though they offer
less to already experianced Flashers.

Use the manual, its Tutorials, Help and Samples.
Use the Flash Tech Resource and other Flash help resources (more tham 40
are linked at the Resource).

Use this list to help but remember you may get nearly immediate answers
other times you won't.
