Someone mentioned charging a percentage of the total project. Whether
that's 10% or 50% depends upon the scope of the project. I tend to go by
the total time I put into the project. If I spent a couple weeks
researching new techniques/technology then I'd assume that this is a cutting
edge project that will take alot of time to finish. A project like this
would garner a lager percentage of the project in order to hand over the
fla.

If the project is something very unique and has alot of earning potential
for the client then I would go 50% on up.

I'd assume that you consider still your efforts to put the file together
using their graphics - and still get a tidy sum for turning over the .fla?
Has anyone considered parameters for gauging how much to charge a client for
such a turnover? I'd almost think there's a set price you can give and (try
to) get.
