Thanks for the reply, Matt. Adbanner34 worked in IE for me! But what a
time I had figuring out how to get the darn thing. For people who are
as slow as I am today, you must do the following:

1) get the ad banner template from the mm site. You will not find it in
your template files. Do not search on "ad banner" or "ad, banner" or
even "banner" to find it at the mm site. Search on "template". (Hint:
or go straight to
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/downloads.html, which is where
you'll eventually find it).

2) put the downloaded template files into the Macromedia\Flash 4\html
directory. Don't try to put them into a flash4 directory (the correct
directory has a space in it between the h and the 4) or they will not
work, and don't forget that it's the html subdirectory they have to go
in.

3) Publish and upload!

Yes, adding plugin would be a good idea for people like me who forget to
stick in a hyphen. ;-) The instructions at that page are exactly what
I already tried. Moved the dll to a different directory -- when I
reopen Netscape, it still has the flash plugin, and it's (of course) in
that new directory now! Tried renaming it, and ditto. So any other
ideas about disabling the plugin in Netscape would be welcome. Has
anyone successfully done this?

Regards and thanks again for the reply, Matt
