You can definitely read the source to that page and use the concepts in
your own pages.

(If you've looked thorugh other pages which detect various browser
capabilities, then you'll probably recognize many of the phrases and
sequences in the script.)

The ShockRave Verification Page is not a general-purpose routine,
however... doesn't have an option to not test for the RealPlayer, for
instance. For most choice in your detections you'd either script yourself
or use a fast utility like Aftershock, and to get the easiest installation
you'd use Smart Shockwave.

You're certainly welcome to study and apply the script on that
single-purpose page, though.
