Are you rotating the object? Depending how far you rotate an
object, this might cause it to go in the opposite direction.

Just copy the layer by selecting the entire layer, and copying
through the I-beam, then paste it in your new scene. If it's
just one object, I use the <CONTROL-SHIFT-V> shortcut a
*lot*, which will paste the object in the same location, but
there's no way to duplicate a whole scene, at least, not that
I've found. If anyone has a way, I'd sure like to know. But
basically selecting the layers in the timeline, then doing a copy
through the I-beam does this (with multiple layers also), I'd
just be convenient to duplicate the whole scene like you can with
objects.

Make sure you've set up a smooth transition, meaning that if
you have an object rotating (for example), then you don't want
the object to come to the same spot on each end, this would
make the object pause rather than seem continuously rotating
without a hiccup. It takes a little tweaking no matter what type
of loop you are setting up.
