This is a PowerCC 225 Mac. Internal CD. Recording @ 44 kHz

I've recorded stuff this way before, w/no prob.
Maybe it's a bad CD James? Plays fine through the computer though .

Very strange...

I know with AWE64 gold cards, you can have problems with the Full Duplex
setting being enabled - do you have something like that set? Check for any
duplexing type settings. This allows you to play and record at the same
time - could cause a nasty effect.

Sade, Kiss of Life. What a cool Flash movie this makes. All that hypnotic
imagery. She won't stand a chance. ;) BTW guys, I highly recommend Best
of Sade for a memorable evening. One of the most romantic albums ever
made. ;) This and a little Chardonney really gets mine in the mood. :)
