This is what I did at one of mine:

That front page informs the user if they have the plug in or not.  It provides

them with a link and it also gives them a bit of information.  The typical end

user may not really have a clue what a plug-in does, in all reality, so it is

a common courtesy if your target audience might not be as savvy as you'd

choose them to be.
