Subject: FLASH: Eastern European Competition: First the Olympics, Now This

Hi all---

So I've been Flash freelancing for a while now, doing OK with work I
have had waiting for me.

Now, I also have signed up at guru.com & elance.com as a Flash "freelancer."

The problem is, there are lots of Flashers of the eastern european
flashers (very good at it, I might add) out there, smoking my bids. Many
are happy to work for $10.00 or even less an hour! HOw do they even maintain
their computers for that?!
Now I'm not being alarmist, because I am aware that a solid company
isn't always going to want to hire some guy in Micronesia (non-existant
country)---But as far as freelancing--this is getting me to rethink a career
as a freelancer--which is a shame--I don't work well with others.
Maybe I need to give up on the Flash, start my own web "studio" and hire
the Micronesians @15.00/hr!
