This is a very good idea for those of us who are trying to log pageviews
at a Flash site (especially if backend text files or database accesses
are already in use there). But my understanding of Tewes' particular
problem is that his customers are depending on some kind of national
official verifier of pageviews (an interesting concept--don't know of an
equivalent in the US), which only counts HTML pages as pageviews. Even
swf loads are treated the same as image loads, and therefore are
considered hits rather than pageviews. If this is correct, then I
really don't see any way around the customers wish to have files which
are officially logged in the ivw database without the frames-based idea
that Tewes came up with.

Regards,
Helen
