Hmm, this is kind of wild. Are all four instances on the same frame of the
timeline? If that's the case, and there isn't a stop action in the first
frame, it may be that all 4 instances are playing when you hit that place on
the timeline, but you only see one of them? So, when you tell them to stop,
they stop in the same place and then when you target the next to play it
starts from there? Making any sense? Do you have stop actions in the last
frame? It doesn't sound like it. You may need a "goto" frame 1 on the end of
the mcs to reset them if you aren't playing through the timeline, but are
going to it instead?
