Subject: FLASH: Getting around variable character limitations in flash 4
From: Mike Chambers
Date: Mon, 13 Mar 2000 20:21:39 GMT

I have a text field in Flash 4 that i need to submit to a form. My problem
is that the variable name i need to set the form field to contains "invalid
characters".

For example my variable/field name is "var-1". When i try to set this i get
a "The variable name you have entered contains invalid characters". It is
choking on the hyphen.

Aside from renaming my variable (which is not possible in this case), does
anyone know of anyway i can get around this?

Thanks in advance...

Mike C
