FLASH: secure password variable

I am sending a password to an asp page for membership verification, 


am I doing this right?


here is the script on my submit button


"On (Release, Key: <Enter>)

      Load Variables ("login.asp", 0, vars=POST)

End On"


will this automatically send the variable in the text field?


Please help....
