Subject: | FLASH: If Frame Is Loaded question |

The movie I inherited to work on is 12 scenes in all (yes, it's done
in scenes), totaling 856 frames when flattened. Loading is lengthy
(400k), and I have a rather long preloader as a result. Despite this,
I still find that, depending on the download speed, the last sections
of the movie may not be there at the end of the preloader.
The site is divided into subsections using button, which the viewer
may click on in any order. My problem is if the viewer clicks on a
yet-not-downloaded section, s/he gets bumped into an earlier section
which is already downloaded. Very confusing and unacceptable. I have
tried "If Frame is Loaded", using the correct frame number (based on
flattened movie), but still have the same problem.
Do I need an "If not" type actionscript as well, maybe one which sees
a simple "loading" screen for the extra few seconds it might take to
get those last sections downloaded?
What am I missing here?
TIA,
Marie
