I've found that if you keep the rendered bitmap images simple (not too many
colors, sharp lines) and feed them into Adobe Streamline, you can get
EXCELLENT results. Streamline will let you adjust the amount of detail you
want to keep from the bitmaps as well as color options.

Hi. Are you suggesting we trace the imported bitmaps?
I always seem to get too much vectors that way and the filesize of the
completed vectorized animation is even bigger than it would be as a
gif-animation for example...
