This sounds similar to a problem I experienced some time ago;

I made an animation which contained heavy bitmaps and large soundfiles. It
looked OK on my T1 connection, but on a 33.6 Kbps dial-up modem the
animation never showed up (but the sound did).

I could see your animation, but I noticed that you had used only relativly
heavy bitmaps and pretty large soundfiles.

I used a T1 connection, and even then it took me some time to download your
animation.

Flash movies are progressivly downloaded so if there's a heavy bitmap in the
beginning of the movie, it takes forever to download and the movie does
"never" start.

My advice is to use as little bitmaps as possible.
