Subject: FLASH: actions: stopping ALL sounds help
From: Edward Cossette
Date: Wed, 17 Nov 1999 20:56:50 GMT

I just realized that a button action I was using to "stop all sounds"
actually only stops the current sound playing in the movie; the sounds kicks
in again later when the timeline reaches another sound event.

Am I doing somethign wrong or is that just the way it is? Is there any
solution to this? As you can imagine, it's worse to have the sound kick
back in when the user thinks it's off (especially in this case where my
second sound is rather dramatic) than it is to have no sound off option at
all. At least this gives the user a chance to volume off their speakers if
they don't want the sound rather than being surprised later.
