I thought I was clear before but I'll try to explain better.

Symbols save byte size by including a reusable copy of all the

instructions on how to draw that symbol in the Library.


But to place an Instance of a symbol on the stage there are other byte

costs which I call "Placement Costs". These include such things as

where, how big and at what angle a symbol is placed. It is only the

Placement costs that are duplicated when you place a symbol a second and

subsequent time.


All objects in Frame one of a Scene including symbols have placement

costs reguardless of whether they appeared in the previous frame or not

(the last frame of the previous Scene).


It is this duplication of the placement costs for objects that carry

over from the last frame of the previous Scene into the first frame of

the current Scene that will increase file size compared to having

everything on one timeline.
