Haha, no, no, not idiots who cant figure the game out. I mean "dummy"(is it
dummie"?)
button or buttons that _dont_ do anything.

Most CD-rom games, like that, will have dummy items in the scene to confuse the
player and make them think what they are looking for.

Its confusing to have an "active " button area scaled to the entire screen. It
doesnt let the player know if they are activating the right item and the "REAL"
active area of the correct button(item) they are to choose. THis leaves
the player clicking all over the screen and having no clue what he is
activating.

YOu can make the game just as difficult and more enjoyable by taking this
"problem" feature out.

Also for more of a "general" processor audience, it would be better to take out
the "zoom" in type features, i.e. on the well, where when you look at the handle
of the well and then the camera zooms in for a close up of the handle. This is
very sluggish on my low end system(tester/p166). It would be better to show the
handle from afar in the first keyframe and then directly up close. Since
tweening the scale of bmps are usually very processor hungry, this would
probably be a more effective and realiable approach.

I dont usually critique people's work, but this could be one great game and it
seems
the producers and artists really spent some time on it. If you did a few more
things to streamline it, it would be very enjoyable.
MAybe even have a soundtrack swf. that loads on a different level after the game
has completely loaded. YOu can do this easily with a "if frame" routine. This
way the player
is already playing the game and a soundtrack will play every now and then in
different scenes.

So many "Flash" developers forgot all about sound. I love the guys voice in this
game. It sounds like you actually hired a voice model instead of some
cheapskate's employee blowing his hole in sound recorder.
