Sorry Daniel,

I mean "Movie Clips"(MCs)

THe first advice I could give any new comer to Flash is
1. Is create everything as a symbol(unless your using shape tween)
2.Become very aware of "tell targets", "labels", "keyframe actions" and "Movie Clips
and how they communicate with one another.
3. Learn how to load movies and learn "If frame loaded" routines to load them
efficiently.
4. Never use scenes, unless you plan on not having MCs inside your
movies or not designing interactive schematics. ALso if you have extremely
long movies, scenes are an easier way of finding and editing.

When creating long movies I usually use comments as scene indicators
instead of scenes.

Ive had to do some major redesigning because of the needlessness
of scenes.

These major components of the learning curve studied first with simple animations
should make the rest a piece of cake.
