if you're using a microsoft personal web server on said laptop, that would
be absolutely fine. drumbeat is probably overkill (i've been developing asp
for a while now and haven't once found drumbeat to be more useful than a
good html editor), as you can actually use access to output the asp code
necessary to read from (and insert into ?) the database into a web page or
flash movie

Subject: Re: FLASH: form to a database file
Hi.
Thx for offering. The thing is though I'm working on a flash thingy that
will be used as a helper for a sales person. On the application the client
can read a bit about the companys services at the same time as the
salesperson can tell
them more about the different services in depth.
What I was thinking was the fact if the salesperson could use a form in the
flash app and save those formfields as a local database on his laptop?
At the moment this is only for a local use and it will not be published on
the net as of yet.
If you can help me out with how to do it to a local database, please let me
know, if not - hey thx for offering to do the drumbeat thingy.
Best regards /Pat.
> I'm not a flash expert yet, just started, but your easier path would be to
design the database forms in Drumbeat then do the flash stuff around it. If
there is no particular reason to use flash, use Drumbeat, it's what it's
good at.
