I don't recall similar symptom descriptions, if that (negative) context is

of any use....  :(


It may be useful to test if it's the movies you've made, or if all movies

act the same... this could help distinguish content-related differences

from configuration-related differences.


Assuming it's "all movies always hiccup", then the next escalation would be

one-or-all-browsers, and then to one-or-all-machines... if it happens in

one browser on your main box but not another then that could provide a clue

about where the difference is, or if two similarly-configured computers

there show the same symptom you could look at common configuration details

that differ from those for other folks.


Just on a pure hunch I'd wonder whether there's perhaps some background

network checking that's now occurring, coincidentally about the time of the

install, but that's just techy intuition rather than anything tested from

the description.


If this is something that others might also conceivably run into, then I'd

like to get the hidden cause beneath the symptom documented for others,

thanks. (If you find that the hidden cause is unique to a particular system

or network then no followup needed, thanks.)
