I think you're getting some pretty good advice.  From your responses to that 

advice/suggestions you seem to be pretty set on what your limitations are.  

that's all I was saying.  You seem rigid about not accepting them only using 

you for design.  I understand your situation, I think you need to dedice what 

you can live with, considering your own sense of pride and ethics and what 

you want in return for giving up a larger income stream.  If you could get 

them to comit to a set consulting contract that gives youa fixed income for 

design only for a set period of time that might better suit your needs.
