Hi John,


this is only kind of related, but I thought I'd mention it anyway...


I'm having a hell of a time trying to select multiple frames to move 

them.  I used to use the "edit multiple frames" button followed by "Control 

A" to great effect.  Now this does not work at all.  All the frames go 

black (even ones in locked layers) but only one or two frames with 

instances in them are selected.  Sometimes I can get it to work by using 

the "edit multiple frames" button and then going up to "Edit>Select All" 

rather than using the shortcut.  This works maybe ten percent of the time.


I mentioned this to the list a couple of days ago and it didn't generate a 

response.  Perhaps I am alone in my frustration?  Am I just not doing it 

right?  I don't know, but it used to work flawlessly in Flash 4.  No 

longer, and I feel helpless to align instances within multiple frames.  I 

know, I know, sooo sad!!  boo hooo!


Anyway, is this a bad installation, a bug or me being kind of dumb?
