Hi "me",
I just wanted to comment on a few of your statements, because I am an
animator as well, and think things aren't as difficult.

Registration needn't be a problem at all: all you really need is a light
table-something you can eaily make yourself ( don't know what it is called
in America ) animation paper and a pegbar to draw. This is animation for
Flash, not for a multiplane 35 mm film.

That's right, but I know very good animators who draw directly into the
computer.

Not necessarely: If you don't tape the pegbar to the table you have even
more freedom of movement than when using a disk.

Any scanner will do because the drawings will be traced in Flash, and can be
resized there. All you need is enough room for the size of your animation
paper. I used to tape my pegbar to the scanner, but in fact it's not even
necessary, because it is very easy to align multiple frames in Flash.
Another reason why registration is not such a big problem.)

Absolutely not, I only use that for film, when it will be shot by a camera.

The interface of Flash can easily be used as a dopesheet.

With this I agree.

All very true.

I still have a lot to learn as well..I have only started five years ago,
with animation, just three years in computeranimation...but the masterclass
of Richard Williams helps a lot ;-)

What a pity, as you obviously know your trade, although we have different
opinions. I would like to see some work of yours...perhaps you can give me a
link anyway?
