Hi John,
The "shy" layer button in After Effects does something else than the "Eye"
button in Flash. If you set a layer to "shy" and turn on "hide shy-layers"
you can still see all objects that are placed on that layer. The good part
is that the layer hides in the timeline window which makes it a lot easier
to work with >20 layer projects.
