Hi Caroline Hope you are well. I think it a bit old fashioned and people know that we maybe trying to capture the data in the resulting form. However, if its connected to an offer (forward this to a friend and get a free doodah) then it has value. Its the equivalent of the Like button on Facebook, which might be part of the reason for its lack of popularity, the audience just isnt au fai with sharing data when they can forward it Thanks ty Ty-John Roberts Creative Director www.addicted2tv.com ddi: 01279 444040 http://www.linkedin.com/in/tyjohnroberts The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material. Everyone knows how to forward an email to a friend without needing a hotlink for it. I'm not sure the prompt is particularly effective - I'm sure I'd have the thought before seeing the link and pretty certain the link wouldn't make me thing 'oh I should forward this to my friend'. And I'm a fan of stripping out everything unnecessary. But, writing this, I realise I might be prompted to send to a friend - so maybe we should keep it and change the wording?
