[uk-netmarketing] Leaving UKNM? You must be joking!

Hello Everyone,

A few months back I seem to remember Sam asking the group if we wanted to
morph the group to Linked-in, but the weight of opinion was very much
against, not least due to the increasing amount of spam that everyone is now
dealing with on that medium.

I was with the "please leave it as it is" group and would fight even harder
not to go to Facebook to interact! But Benn is right, there is a lack of
discussion and we can all blame ourselves for that as we are locked away in
our own worlds and "forgetting" to interact. (In actual fact, I thought I
had been deleted from the list because I hadn't received any emails from the
group for so long. I even went as far as to go onto the website to check to
see I was still signed up! ).

So here's a question to stir people into action:

We are just about to launch a test on Pinterest for a large Real Estate
client having learned that Pinterest has expanded 8 fold since the beginning
of the year in Latin America. Pinterest is a fantastic source of traffic
and referral links and in North America is driving more traffic than
Linked-in, Google + and You Tube combined. Its second only to Facebook.

Latin America is, according to Comscore, the region that engages the most on
social media, and Pinterest's audience grew from 153,000 Latin American
Visitors in January 2012 to 1.3 million now. (Latin American's are wonderful
social people :-)

So my question is, how is everyone else using Pinterest in your markets,
wherever you may be in the world and how is working for you?

I look forward to hearing from the group.

Have a wonderful day/weekend.

Saludos

Suzy

It's all very nice saying you support the list but it seems to be much more
emotional than rational.
This list has been pretty much dead for some time.

I've had a great time on here and respect the collective input from all over
the years. Obviously kudos to Sam for making it happen but if no one really
uses the list then what difference does it make if it is here?

I had pretty much forgotten about UKNM until that first post (in ages) a few
weeks ago.

If you all really love it so much then why not step up the discussions? Not
for the sake of it, or that renders the list pointless too.

I'm just saying I remember a time when this list was buzzing and it would be
nice to see it back in swing again. Would it not be better if it was a
Facebook page? That would also increase the group size and reach over time
as member engagement would expose the group to new members.
