Hi Alison

I think the only answer (which seems obvious) is whether there is enough value in the data.

You need to use it, but I would say that for any serious business proposition for which their 'sales' through online is over £1m, then I would consider it seriously.

But, as importantly, if you do, USE the data to affect and improve your performance.
