Subject: UKNM: Is Seth Godin Full of it?
From: Anne Holland

I recently got to interview Permission Marketing GOD ON HIGH
Seth Godin. He invented a lot of what we take for granted as
email marketing know-how and of course wrote the book, "Permission
Marketing."

He told me he had collected two different email lists from this book.
The first was a list of people who emailed him saying "add me to
your list when you have more news" -- and we're talking more than
100,000.

The second list was the 127,000 people who downloaded parts of
his last book for free at http://www.permission.com -- and GUESS
WHAT???? Seth didn't feel it was ok to email them with news of
his next book. He thought it would be spam!!!!

Ok, so the man is a purist and I guess that's admirable.

Anyway, take 2 minutes (it's short) and read the Case Study
I did and then tell me what you think. Is Seth Godin full
of it or does he make a heck of a lot of business sense?
