Two answers:
Dave was referring to beeb.com which is a commercial service run by BBC
Worldwide (a commercial organisation). As such it receives no licence-fee
money whatever. Quite the opposite in fact - BBC Worldwide contributes
money to the BBC (Corporation) which goes towards programme-making. If it
wasn't for BBC Worldwide, the licence fee would be much higher!
BTW, what does mundane tv programming have to do with UKNM. Surely you want
alt.tv.whinge?
