we have just created a news ticker for a VC - Bridgepoint Capital - and so
the same process can apply to this problem.
1) the banner links to an XML file which contains the news info.
2) this pulls the news into the banner
3) this is usually three lines high

however, you will run into major problems if you try and host this on a
third party site as you will need them to store the 'class' file which in
most cases (unless you have negotiated a special deal) they will not.
Alternatively, you could store the XML file on your own servers and ask the
banner to reference your site. The problem with this is that the site you
are advertising on may object if your servers run slowly and do not pull the
info in quickly enough - therefore, they end up with empty banners on their
site.

hope this helps

A while back, a number of you commented on a proposal to utilise email
addresses from publications like AMMO to send a link to an agency creds
presentation. Suffice to say, good advice was given and acted upon.

What do the anti-spammers out there think of AdvertExpress.com's case study
at marketing sherpa.co.uk?
