News From North of Watford, The Internet Entrepreneurs and Investors Group

Contents:
1. Next meeting - agenda - Hope to see you Monday
2. New features on the website

1. The next meeting will take place at on Monday 17th January at the Plough &
Harrow. We have two new speakers for this event, details below. A map and
location details are available on the website at www.northofwatford.com

The group will meet in the Beauford Bar (which has been reserved for our use)
at 7.30pm. Quite a few new people have joined the group since our first
meeting and it promises to be a lively but still manageable event.

At about 8pm David Rose will talk about trends in the e-commerce,
particularly e-marketing, and how that relates to the funding requirements of
companies setting out to exploit the internet economy. There will be an
opportunity for questions / discussion after each presentation.

David Rose has consulted to BT and AOL on internet service delivery. He also
owns and operates the Development Capital Exchange at www.equity-invest.com,
a free to use website designed to encourage the informal investment culture
in the UK. Also, he is CEO of E-First, a magazine (www.e-first.co.uk)
designed to assist Board level directors and government executives tasked
with developing the e-commerce business case.

At about 8.45 Graham Ross will talk on the practical legal issues of
protecting ideas, web site design and operation.

Graham Ross is a solicitor and principle of Ross & Co and head of
eTradeLaw.com, an
e-commerce legal advice/referral unit which links in with specialist lawyers
and other professionals.

The event is free and is open to all involved in Internet enterprises and
potential investors. Our thanks to Bill Chackfield of TNT for sponsoring room
hire and coffee. It would be helpful if you could advise the sender of this
email of your intention to attend to provide an idea of numbers.

2. New website features. We have recently redesigned to site, dispensing with
the gloomy black and incorporating some new features including an Internet
news feature in Real Audio that can be listened to while you browse the site.
This week's programme is on Internet promotion. We have also added a
technology based newsfeed.

Some new weblinks have been added recently and you are once again invited to
add a link to your own site or to start or join a discussion on the message
board. You may, of course, use either facility to invite investment in your
venture free of charge.

Please feel free to
Warm Millennium Regards, (OK I won't use that word again)
Michael Trott
